New Recipe

I saw this recipe in the December issue of Southern Living. They are peppermint pinwheel cookie sandwiches. They were pretty easy to make and soooooo delicious. I wrapped them in cellophane so that they would look like peppermint candies. I have them displayed in my bell jar since they are too pretty to hide in a cookie jar. YUMMY!

Giving Thanks
I am so thankful for my awesome family. I am grateful to be a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, etc... My life is not perfect, but it's mine and I cherish it. Today is Luci's first Thanksgiving. She didn't get to enjoy the turkey, but she definitely enjoyed all the chaos! With so many people, there was lots to look at and listen to.
I know it's Turkey day, but Mia was a "ham"! She is such a little performer. She put on a show of the songs she is going to sing in her Christmas program. Sooooooooooo cute!

Another borrowed idea

My friend Stephanie introduced me to these cups. She also introduced me to the blog that has created them. They take a little while to make, but you get faster after each creation. (Right, Jenn??) Here are a few that I made. Mine are not near as fancy as the Tipsy Top gals. Their cups will blow you away! Our fifth grade students are making the medium size cups for their moms for Christmas. I'll post more pics when they finish.

Hobby Lobby

So, I LOVE Hobby Lobby!!!! I could spend hours in there. I recently purchased some of their gorgeous wrapping paper. I thought it would be soooo cute to use in my classroom. Our class door for December is "Deck the Halls". I stole the stocking idea from a Hobby Lobby gift card holder. I used polka dot and vintage candy cane scrapbook paper for the sock, and leopard scrapbook paper for the top. Red and white pom pons are hot glued on there too! Sooooooooo cute. The kids love them. Their pictures are going to be "stuffed" in there. The pretty green paper is the wrapping paper.
